Terms of Service

Last edited July 2026

These terms govern your use of Edda (the "app", "service"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be 13 years of age or older to create an Edda account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure, and let us know at hello@getedda.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Journals & shared content

A Journal is a shared space you create or join with other people — a household, a family, a group of friends, or any similar group. Content logged to a Journal (activities, notes, photos, reactions) is visible to other members of that Journal according to their role's permissions. You're responsible for the content you log and for having the right to share any photos or notes you add.

Any Journal admin can remove members, and members who leave or are removed lose access to that Journal's content going forward. When you leave a Journal yourself, you choose whether the records you contributed stay in the Journal's shared history — re-attributed to a local member no longer linked to your account — or are erased: entries where you are the only credited member are permanently deleted, while entries shared with other members remain for them with your credit removed. Records of members removed by an admin remain part of the Journal's shared history for accountability and stats continuity. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Be mindful of what you log

Journals can hold anything you choose to log. Edda doesn't limit what you can log and doesn't apply special handling to any particular category of content — it's stored and shared with your Journal members. You accept responsibility for the data you log — consider what you're comfortable sharing with your Journal members before you add it, especially sensitive details like medications or health notes. You're asked to acknowledge this directly the first time you use Edda.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Edda for anything illegal, harassing, or intended to harm another person.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share.
  • Attempt to access another Journal's data without authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, including through automated scraping or abuse of the API.

Subscriptions & billing

Edda offers a Free tier and a paid Pro tier. Pro subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. Subscription limits and entitlements are enforced server-side. You can cancel a subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time — you choose, separately for each Journal you belong to, whether the records you contributed are transferred to the Journal's shared history or erased. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable use section above.

Disclaimer of warranties

Edda is provided "as is". We work to keep the service reliable and your data safe, but we don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Edda and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes require re-acceptance the next time you open the app, tracked against the version you last accepted.
